The process
How Vaultford works, start to finish
No mystery, no fine-print surprises. Here is exactly what happens when you use Vaultford — including what happens to your information.
Tell us what you're comparing
You answer a short set of questions — the same basics any lender, agent, or contractor would ask in the first five minutes of a phone call. What you're financing, what you want covered, or what project you're planning, plus how to reach you.
We match your request
Vaultford routes your request to providers in our network who are licensed for your product, serve your location, and work with situations like yours. We don't blast your details to everyone — matching is deliberate.
Providers respond to you
Matched providers contact you directly with their offers, quotes, or estimates. You compare them on your own schedule. Accepting any offer — or none at all — is entirely your call.
Your information
What happens to your details
This is the part most comparison sites bury. We'd rather you read it.
What we collect
Only what's needed to match you: contact details and the information relevant to the product you're comparing. We do not ask for banking credentials, and you should never enter passwords or full account numbers into a comparison form — ours or anyone's.
Who receives it
The providers you're matched with, so they can present offers to you — exactly as described at the point where you submit your request and in our privacy policy. That consent is specific: it covers the comparison you asked for.
How contact works
Matched providers may reach you by phone, email, or text, depending on the consent you give when you submit a request. You can ask any provider to stop contacting you at any time, and you can contact us to remove your information.
What we never do
We don't sell your information to unrelated marketers, and we don't pretend a referral service is something it isn't. Our compensation comes from providers, and we disclose that on every page.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Does Vaultford cost anything?
No. Vaultford is free for consumers. We're compensated by the providers in our network, which is disclosed on every page of this site.
Is Vaultford a lender, insurance company, or contractor?
No. Vaultford is a comparison and referral service. We connect you with licensed third-party providers who make their own decisions about rates, terms, coverage, and availability. We never make credit decisions, issue policies, or perform work.
Will using Vaultford affect my credit score?
Submitting a request through Vaultford does not involve a credit check by us. If you proceed with a lender, that lender may perform a credit inquiry as part of their own application process — they'll tell you before they do.
Am I obligated to accept an offer?
Never. Comparing is the whole point. If none of the offers work for you, walk away — there's no fee and no penalty.
Can I have my information removed?
Yes. Contact us at any time through our contact page and we'll process your request as described in our privacy policy.
What areas do you serve?
Our provider network currently covers select regions in Canada and the United States, and it's growing. When you submit a request, we'll only match you with providers who actually serve your location — if we can't match you, we'll say so rather than pretend.
